BUILDING OUT OF WOOD:

All our chalets are built out of wood on a framework principle and sometimes that of posts-beams. The result is excellent sturdiness – this principle meets anti-seismic standards – and excellent quality over time as the wood works little after being installed because it is well ventilated as well as being extremely pleasant to use.

The age of our first chalets is proof of our commitment.

There are now 25 people who make your chalet including carpenter fitters, carpenter cutters and joiners. The structure, the frame, the joist frame, small fittings, doors, windows, balconies, decorative railings and banisters are made in our Saint-Cergues workshops.

Our structure timber is dried, planed and treated (fungicide and anti-woodborers) by us to guarantee a perfect construction quality.

Furthermore the shape, shade and essences of the wood allow us to meet your wishes in detail. The region's woods form the bulk of our supplies, especially spruce both for its technical and aesthetic qualities. Natural, tinted, brushed, heated, aged, untreated or planed down are the many possibilities that form our basic range for creating a personalised chalet.

Other essences such as larch and Douglas fir are also available.

Anxious to protect our environment we work almost all of the time with wood from the region, requiring little transport, which bear the PEFC label and more specifically for our frame wood which bear the BQS label (Quality Savoy Timber).

Our chalets are wooden framed and built on foundations and concrete slabs. According to your desires, we can also offer you a street level chalet or one half buried in stone or blocked up with stone, depending on the region's products.

This constructive method has been used for a number of years and harmoniously fits into the landscape.
